Amped PCR Secures Innovate UK Funding to Advance One Health Biosurveillance
Amped PCR Ltd, an emerging molecular diagnostics company based at AberInnovation, has secured £99,625 in non-dilutive funding through Innovate UK’s Launchpad programme.
The award supports the company’s ongoing development of a novel diagnostic biosurveillance solution for use across the food, environmental, and veterinary sectors.
RedKnight is proud to have supported Amped’s successful application to the programme, which is designed to help high-potential companies accelerate commercialisation.
The funding will contribute towards building digital infrastructure that enhances the speed, accuracy, and reach of diagnostic processes. Amped’s platform aims to simplify complex workflows and deliver real-time insights closer to the point of need—supporting earlier pathogen detection and faster response times in critical areas, enabling proactive biosurveillance across the supply chain.
“We’re delighted to receive this support from Innovate UK,” said Ben Davis, Founder of Amped PCR. “It enables us to take a leap forward in developing our technology and scaling our impact across the One Health landscape towards a fully automated, scalable biosurveillance solution.”
As the company advances its commercial and regulatory strategy, this milestone strengthens Amped PCR’s mission to deliver practical, scalable diagnostics for tomorrow’s health and safety challenges.
