Whats it All About?
RedKnight’s retained consultancy offers clients priority access to a number of innovation funding services. We agree to work under a retainer agreement for a small subset of select clients. This enables RedKnight to develop long-term relationships with these clients, ensuring an effective innovation funding strategy is developed, implemented, and refined.
A typical retainer commits RedKnight to a specified minimum number of hours of service per month (typically a 1-hour planning meeting plus 7-hours service delivery). The service is based on a monthly rolling contract and alternative plans can be arranged at the client’s discretion, providing excellent flexibility.
What Does The Service Include?
Retained services will depend upon each specific contract. They may include:
Technical Assistance
- Project scoping sessions to flesh out the application content (does not include bid-writing)
- Providing advice and technical support (for example, reviewing project budgets and ensuring eligibility with the funding programme rules and regulations
- Engaging in planning sessions with client staff
- Presenting workshops/training to client staff
- Provide a “critical friend” service to reviewing draft applications
- Ensure alignment between the tenant’s project and the funding opportunity
Research
- Performing grant prospect research
- Horizon scanning for relevant funding opportunities
- State-of-the-art/competitor analysis of other funded projects
- Ad-hoc activities as agreed with client (e.g., market research)
Other
- Partner/project searching and brokerage
- Pitch deck development
